Organizations offering these services are called "providers." Over 1500 Ohio Behavioral Health Licensed and Certified Treatment Providers are included.

The RecoveryRachel is for anyone in Ohio who needs mental health or addiction recovery information. Whether you're looking for help for yourself, searching for a friend or family member, or working in a clinic, school, or community organization, if you need reliable information, the RecoveryRachel provides reliable, updated information.

Each listing is created by pulling publicly available details from providers' websites. When an organization edits and confirms their information, a "Verified by provider" badge appears. If you spot anything wrong, you or our community partners can report it, and we'll ask the provider to correct it. This mix of provider control and community feedback keeps the portal updated.

"Talk or Chat with Rachel" is a friendly online assistant designed to help you easily find providers. You can type or speak to Rachel without sharing your name, and nothing you say is linked to you personally. Your conversation is stored securely and anonymously to help improve the service, so the experience gets even better over time - quick, private, and simple.

Yes. The entire site runs over secure, encrypted connections and follows the State of Ohio's data-protection rules. We don't collect personal details when you browse, and any optional information you choose to share, such as feedback or a chat with Rachel, is stored anonymously in a protected state system.

Nothing. Using the RecoveryRachel is completely free.

The "Verified by provider" badge confirms the information beside it is accurate. If it appears next to a provider's full profile, it means the organization has reviewed and confirmed all the details on that page. If the badge appears next to a specific item - like a location, phone number, or insurance - it means that individual detail has been confirmed.

On the home page, pick the option that works best for you: click "Browse Providers" to search listings, or choose "Talk or Chat with Rachel" for step-by-step guidance. When browsing, you can search like you would on a search engine or use filters to narrow down by provider details. If you choose to chat, Rachel will guide you through the process. No. Anyone can search listings and Talk or Chat with Rachel without signing up or logging in. Only service providers who want to review or update their own listings need to sign in with an OHID.

The RecoveryRachel is currently available in English and Spanish. The "Talk or Chat with Rachel" feature is offered only in English for the time being.
