Overview

The Addiction Services Council (ASC) offers a comprehensive range of services designed to support individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders (SUD). These programs are built on evidence-based practices and focus on prevention, treatment, recovery, and education, ensuring equitable access to care for all individuals, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions and criminal justice involvement. Below is an overview of ASC’s key programs and activities: 1. Referral and Linkage to Community Resources & Providers: We connect individuals with the most appropriate treatment providers and community resources to address their unique needs, ensuring effective, timely care. 2. Diagnostic Assessment Services: These services identify the root causes of addiction and help establish targeted treatment objectives, creating personalized care plans for each individual. 3. Case Management Services: Our case managers coordinate ongoing care, advocate for client needs, and assist with access to essential services, including housing, employment, and healthcare. 4. Crisis Intervention Services: We provide immediate stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute crises related to substance use. Our After-hours Individualized Mobile-Engagement (AIM) Team offers in-person crisis response, transportation to treatment, and peer recovery support outside regular business hours. 5. Individual and Group Counseling Services: We offer individual counseling to address personal barriers to recovery and group therapy sessions that follow evidence-based curricula to foster peer support and shared learning. 6. Family Education and Counseling Services: Recognizing the importance of family involvement in recovery, we provide counseling and educational support to families with loved ones struggling with addiction. 7. Substance Use Education Services: Our education programs increase awareness of addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies, empowering individuals with knowledge to sustain recovery. 8. Workplace Training and Intervention Services: We educate employers and employees about workplace substance use, equipping them to recognize and respond to issues effectively and promote a healthy work environment. 9. Toxicology Screening: We offer urine analyses to monitor substance use, often in collaboration with probation or parole services, helping individuals meet legal or programmatic requirements. 10. Community Outreach Services: ASC conducts outreach activities with community partners, including homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and correctional facilities, to serve individuals in their natural environments and reduce barriers to treatment access. 11. School-Based Prevention Services: Our prevention programs in schools focus on education and counseling to equip youth with the knowledge and tools needed to avoid substance use and build healthy coping mechanisms. 12. Peer Recovery Support Services: Certified Peer Recovery Supporters, with lived experience in addiction and recovery, provide one-on-one support, fostering trust and engagement with individuals at all stages of recovery.
